For the last few years I have been the sole I.T. person in a company and as such I have had to be an all-rounder building the full-stack and supporting end-users.
Over the years I have worked in teams and managed staff but as the business has developed and staff moved on they have not been replaced.
I have been running and integrating systems for the last 26 years, dealing with the technical and not-so technically minded.
I have developed many systems including command line scripts, websites, GUI programs, REST API’s and databases.
I have integrated with many third party systems, from AWS to (Z)Xero, and hardware devices using a variety of languages.
Most recently I have completed the transition from an on-site set-up to the cloud utilising different platforms (Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS) for the various elements as required.
This included migrating a MSSQL 2000 database through 2008 and 2017 and finally pushing it up to Azure.

Employment

The company is now down-sizing and no longer feels the need for on-site I.T. support.
